It blocks any gearbox tuning over OBD, so you can't raise clutch clamping pressure to match a Stage 1 or Stage 2 remap, or add better shift and launch features.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eWe unlock it in house at our Coventry workshop. The TCU is unlocked via direct programming, and from then on it can be flashed over OBD like any older car. It opens the gearbox up for tuning. Once it's unlocked, we can fit our own custom DSG calibration, a RacingLine OEM+ DSG tune, or an APR DSG tune, on the same visit.
