The airbox kit is completely unique to the Twingo RS, making the best use of the space available. A great effort and attention to detail has gone into every aspect of this kit, to ensure it performs as intended, even in extreme environments on the race track.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eAs we have developed enclosed intake kits for various cars over the years, we have found that on revvy naturally-aspirated cars such as the Twingos, intake air temperatures can be as important, if not more important, than improving airflow and restrictions. The entire airbox is completely enclosed, drawing cool air through our flow-formed inlet scoop which sits in front of the radiator.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eFor the STX K4M kit, we were able to use our tried and tested STX Airbox, which we have had great success with on similar cars to the Twingo. The Ramair foam air filter is mounted to our integral velocity stack profile that we use across our airbox range. Air passing through the air filter is smoothly compressed into our throttle body pipe. \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eFollowing in the steps of our F4R kit for the Clios, we have utilised V bands to connect the airbox to the inlet scoop. This in turn, creates a perfectly smooth join that will not disrupt the airflow as it passes through our flow-formed inlet scoop and into the airbox. Small details like this all add up to a fantastic result. As with all our Airbox kits, they will not go to market until we have thoroughly dyno tested the kit and can provide the customer with real world, dyno proven gains. All of the testing was done at Wayside Performance, with the same car, on the same day. While the Fibre Reinforced ABS plastic is perfectly up to the job for the majority of applications, the Carbon will be the choice for those who regularly track or race their car. In addition to the carbon being very very strong, it can also reflect temperatures up to 200*C, around 80*C more than the ABS plastic.
