MK4 Focus ST spoiler caps

Spoiler caps are one of the easiest styling upgrades available for the hatchback.

The Maxton Design V1 spoiler cap bonds onto the existing factory rear spoiler.

These do not replace the original spoiler.

How do you fit a spoiler cap?

Correct preparation is important.

1. Wash the factory spoiler thoroughly.
2. Make sure the surface is completely dry.
3. Degrease the mounting area.
4. Test-fit the spoiler cap before removing the adhesive backing.
5. Check that it sits evenly from side to side.
6. Bond it into position using the supplied 3M tape.
7. Apply firm, even pressure along the bonded area.

A clean and grease-free surface gives the adhesive the best chance of creating a strong bond.

MK4 Focus ST bonnet vents

The Maxton Design bonnet vents require cutting the bonnet.

They are therefore a much more permanent modification than a splitter or spoiler cap.

We recommend taking particular care with:

• Left-to-right symmetry
• Marking the cut area
• Protecting exposed metal after cutting
• Making sure the vents are securely fixed

Measure several times before making any permanent cut to the bonnet.

Are the bonnet vents just stick-on cosmetic pieces?

No.

The bonnet needs to be cut for proper installation.

Do not purchase these expecting a simple stick-on accessory.

MK4 Focus ST front grille

The Maxton Design front grille is a direct replacement for the original grille.

The factory grille is removed and the Maxton component installed in its place.

The Maxton Design canards fit to the outer areas of the front bumper.

These require drilling and secure mechanical installation.

Because they are fitted as matching left- and right-hand pieces, take extra care to position them evenly.

Should Maxton styling parts be test-fitted first?

Yes – always.

Before drilling, cutting, bonding or removing protective film, confirm:

• You have the correct facelift or pre-facelift version.
• You have the correct hatchback or estate version.
• The part matches your bumper or existing rear valance.
• The product follows the shape of the bodywork correctly.
• The left and right sides sit evenly.

If the product clearly does not follow the shape of your car, stop before making any permanent modifications and re-check the fitment.

Leave protective film on during test-fitting

Where a part arrives with protective film, leave it fitted while checking the product against the car.
