A Stage 1 calibration for the 2.8 V6 turbo, written and tested on our own 4WD rolling road in Coventry. No hardware changes needed, just a healthy engine on a standard setup.
The VXR leaves the factory with 325 PS and 435 Nm, which is a conservative number for what the A28NET is capable of. Vauxhall left a lot in it, particularly in the mid range. Stage 1 sharpens throttle response, raises boost and cleans up the torque curve so the car pulls properly from 2,500 rpm instead of waiting for the top end.
Torque is where you feel it most on this car. An extra 80-100ftIb changes how it drives in every gear.

Figures are approximate and depend on your hardware, fuel and the condition of the car.
Standard: 321 bhp and 435 Nm (321 lb-ft)
Stage 1: 355 to 365 bhp and 550 Nm (410 lb-ft)

A calibration written for your car, not a generic file pulled off a shelf. We log the car afterwards and adjust if anything needs it, at no extra cost. You keep your original file so the car can be returned to standard at any point.
Home flashing with the WP-Flasher
Add the WP-Flasher tool and you can do the whole thing on your driveway. You read your original ECU file, send it over, and we return your tuned file, usually within one working day. Plug it back in, flash it, done. The tool is yours to keep, so any future map changes or a return to standard cost you nothing extra in hardware.
Prefer us to do it?
Book the car in at our workshop in Coventry CV2 1NR. Same calibration, done on the dyno, with before and after figures so you can see exactly what you have gained.
Before you order
This covers the 2.8 V6 turbo Insignia VXR and VXR SuperSport, 2009 to 2017. It does not cover the later Insignia GSi 2.0 turbo, which is a different engine and ECU entirely.
Standard VXR clutches are already working hard at 435 Nm and a few start slipping once you add another 100. If yours is high mileage or already showing signs, budget for an uprated clutch before or shortly after the map. We can also accommodate low torque maps to help preserve the stock clutch
